AmEnough Society Youth Empowerment Program
At AmEnough Society, we believe that young people deserve more than just a seat at the table—they deserve a space where they feel heard, seen, and empowered.
Our Youth Empowerment Program is designed specifically for migrant, refugee, and newcomer youth navigating the complexities of identity, belonging, and settling into a new culture.
Through bi-monthly workshops, peer circles, and community events, we provide:
Safe spaces for self-expression
Mental health and resilience-building tools
Leadership development & life skills
Cultural celebration and identity support
Mentorship from community role models
We know that when youth feel empowered, they grow into confident adults who uplift their families and communities. 🫶
Let’s nurture this next generation—because they are not just the future, they are the now. Serving youth across Surrey and surrounding areas.

Culturally Appropriate Foodbank and MH Check in for Settling Migrants & Refugees
Nourishing Bodies, Minds, and Dignity
For many families starting over in a new country, accessing food isn’t just about nourishment—it’s about feeling seen, understood, and valued. AmEnough Society’s Nourish & Flourish Initiative provides a monthly culturally appropriate food bank that helps newcomers feel at home, while also supporting their mental health through compassionate check-ins with trained volunteers.
And because we believe dignity matters at every level, we’ve recently added “The Dressing Room”, a community clothing bank offering gently used attire for individuals and families to select what they need with care and confidence.
Our Core Programs:
Nourish & Flourish Food + Mental Health Check-In (monthly)
The Dressing Room Clothing Bank (monthly)
Books Without Borders – a multicultural book club for children that celebrates identity and learning
RenewHer Healing Retreats – supporting refugee women through trauma healing and peer connection
Career Advancement & Credential Recognition – helping skilled newcomers re-enter the workforce via referal process.
Youth Empowerment Sessions – safe spaces for growth, leadership, and identity building
Community Engagement Events – seasonal gatherings that centre culture, wellness, and belonging
At AmEnough, we don’t just serve the community—we are the community. Most of the people we support are from the Surrey area, and many of our team members are migrants and newcomers themselves.
We’re always open to meaningful partnerships with those who care about equity, wellness, and making Canada truly feel like home for everyone.

Creating Impact Through Play – Richmond Volunteer Spotlight
Meet Brett, our awesome Game On! Group Mentor since 2021!
Game On! is a group mentoring program that supports youth through fun active play and healthy lifestyle learning with a focus on physical activity, balanced eating, social-emotional learning, and communications skills.
"I really like how the program is a group setting, but it’s also small enough that you get to connect individually with each of the Little Buddies. It was just a really good fit.” - Brett
