Gabby’s Country Cabaret Announces Permanent Closing

One of B.C.’s longest running nightclubs has announced it’s closure late Tuesday night. Gabby’s Country Cabaret Owner Steve Gallagher announced the “heartbreaking decision” that they will not be opening their doors in downtown Langley after the coronavirus pandemic.

“Many relationships began because of Gabby’s. People fell in love, met their new best friend, ran into old friends, partied with their parents, heard their favourite song for the first time, made plans for the future, and had some of the best times of their lives in our one of a kind venue.” said Steve Gallagher in Gabby’s Instagram announcement. Of course, you can’t forget about a Gabby’s Hotdog.

For 34 years, Gabby’s was a destination for live entertainment. “We were so lucky that our stage was graced by the immense talent of musicians and artists over the years that started a party like no one else could do.” said Gallagher.

If you were lucky enough, you may have caught Dallas Smith, Chad Brownlee, Washboard Union or Aaron Prichett on stage over the years.
