Grab the tissues… Luke Bryan’s new song is a tear-jerker!
Released just in time for Father’s Day, “Build Me A Daddy” tells the story of a young boy who goes to a wooden toy shop and asks the storekeeper to build him a daddy, since his father is a solider and away from home.
“Country music has always had such a beautiful way of telling a story,” wrote Bryan in a tweet. “This song tells a story many people know all too well.”
Bryan also released a touching music video to accompany the song with super cute cameos from his two sons, Thomas and Tatum.
“Build Me A Daddy” was co-written by Jake Mitchell, Josh Thompson and Brett Tyler and will appear on Bryan’s upcoming album Born Here, Live Here, Die Here.
The album is already packed with hits like “Knockin’ Boots”, “What She Wants Tonight” and “One Margarita”.
So make sure you mark your calendars – the album comes out on August 7th!
