With everything going on in the world right now, Kenny Chesney brings a welcome reprieve with his carefree new radio single “Happy Does”!
“I don’t believe in preaching, and I sure don’t want to tell anyone how to live, but right now, I think we can all use something to lift us up,” said Chesney in a statement.
The laidback track written by Brock Berryhill, Brad Clawson, Greylan James and Jamie Paulin transports us to early 2000s Chesney – think “No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problems”.
The chorus is as catchy as can be and offers a few carefree activities that sound pretty good right about now:
“Grab a six-string, find a rope swing, hang a palm tree in your truck,” sings Chesney. “Drink a beer just because / Steal a slow dance in a rainstorm and a kiss from who you love.”
