With the return to hockey comes the big question – Do you think the 2020 Stanley Cup is a legit championship, or is it tarnished because of all the COVD-19 related changes?
I, for one, think this year it’s going to be harder than ever to win. There’s an extra 5 game round to start (though I get the argument that the season was short so that doesn’t factor in…) There is no real home-ice “advantage”. No crowds to summon energy from. No time outside of the game to see your family or just sit on your own couch to rest. None of that is gong to be easy!
To prevent anyone (ahem Leafs fans ahem) waiting until their team loses and then claiming they never considered this a legit Cup…
