Hanoi Pho is a family-owned Vietnamese restaurant that also offers a large vegetarian menu. They have been in the community of Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for around 15 years now, and are facing threat of closure due to the impact of COVID. Michael, the owner, strives to support fellow local businesses in the area by going to the grocers personally and hand selecting fresh ingredients every day. This is just one part of what Michael does. He also has the orders of regular customers memorized and makes each customer feel welcomed when they come in.
