Kelsea Ballerini To Host 2024 CMT Awards
Kelsea Ballerini is back to host the 2024 CMT Music Awards, but this time she’s doing it solo!
Ballerini previously hosted the CMT Music Awards the past four years with longtime co-host and fellow country singer Kane Brown. Though in 2022 Ballerini had COVID, she still managed to co-host with Brown via zoom with help from Marvel star Anthony Mackie.
This is the first time the CMT Awards has had a solo host since 2017 when Charles Esten from the hit TV Show Nashville hosted the show.
When asked about hosting the awards show once again Ballerini had this to say “Hosting an awards show that celebrates the music that the fans love most has been an honor and I know this year will be another unforgettable night.”.
In addition to her hosting duties Kelsea Ballerini will be performing at the awards show. No word on what song she will be performing, but if her Instagram caption is a clue we could be hearing Ballerini’s latest release “How Do I Do This“.
The CMT Awards will air live on CBS on April 7th at 5pm PST. The show will also be streamed live and on demand on Paramount+.

At the 2023 CMT Awards Kelsea Ballerini’s performance was deemed “controversial”.
Ballerini sang her hit song “If You Go Down(I’m Goin’ Down Too)” with Drag Queens from Rupaul’s Drag Race. Tennessee had just passed a bill banning drag, so this was Ballerini’s response to the bill.
