Kelsea Ballerini Releases New Song With Noah Kahan Following ACM Performance!
Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahn just released a song together!
The singer/songwriters recently released their new song “Cowboys Cry Too” last week.
This marks the second time Ballerini and Kahan have teamed up on a project. They first collaborated at this year’s ACM Awards back in May. They sang a mashup of Ballerini’s hit “Mountain With A View” and Kahan’s “Stick Season”.

Following their ACM performance Kahan invited Ballerini to make a surprise appearance on tour with him. Ballerini took the stage at the second night of his Nashville show to help him perform his hit “Stick Season” once again.
Since then fans have been calling on the artists to make an official collaboration. Less than two months after their initial collaboration “Cowboys Cry Too” was born!
Ballerini made the collaboration happen by sliding into Kahan’s DMs. Kahan reportdly wrote his part while on tour ahead of their initial collaboration on the ACM Awards stage.
“He opens his mouth and sings this whole verse and I just was like, ‘Oh, my gosh,’” Kelsea Ballerini shared of hearing Kahan’s addition to the song.
Ballerini initially wrote the song November of last year. “And I love the idea of writing the song from a female perspective, kind of tackling toxic masculinity. Then as I was making the whole record and kind of putting the puzzle together, I was like, ‘Man, if we could have a male perspective on this who’s willing to go there and really be emotionally available to write his perspective into the song, that’d be amazing.” Ballerini shared when asked about her inspiration.
