February brings another new musical friend – Zach McPhee is JR Country’s BC Artist of the Month
Country music singer-songwriter Zach McPhee hails from the picturesque Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. Since making his debut in 2023, Zach has swiftly carved out a place for himself in the country music scene. His journey began in childhood when singing was introduced as part of speech therapy—a technique that soon sparked a lifelong passion.
Zach’s debut EP, Feels Country to Me, highlights his knack for storytelling through seven compelling tracks. Following its success, a Deluxe Edition featuring two new songs, including his breakthrough single “Who Knew” and his upcoming radio single “Smoke”, was released on August 16th, 2024.
Zach’s momentum surged when he was crowned the 2024 SiriusXM Top of the Country winner at the CCMAs, solidifying his status as one of Canada’s brightest new talents. With over 12 million streams and counting, Zach’s music continues to resonate with a growing fan base, cementing his place as a rising star in the world of country music.
