Friday, June 24th you could be seeing Garth Brooks in Edmonton!
We’ll give you a pair of tickets for Garth’s June 24th show plus we’ll give you $1000 to take care of your hotel and flights!
From May 30th until June 12th, listen for a Garth Brooks song to play on JR. We’ll play Garth multiple times a day, weekdays & weekends.
When you hear a Garth Brooks song play, call 604 280 9370 and if you’re the correct caller through you’ll go on the standby list!

On Monday, June 13 Graeme Gordon from the JR Afternoon Show will draw one JR Family member from the stand by list to win a pair of tickets to see Garth Brooks at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on Friday, June 24th plus $1000 cash for your 1-night hotel stay and flights!
- Flyaway to Garth Brooks in Edmonton (The “Contest”) will run from Monday, May 30, 2022 – Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 4om.
- To be eligible to win a prize in the Contest, a contestant must (a) be a legal resident of British Columbia and (b) be at least nineteen (19) years of age or older or have a parent or guardian who is at least nineteen (19) years of age or older to claim any prize.
- For the chance to play the contest, listen weekdays and weekends (excluding statutory holidays) for a Garth Brooks song to play.
- If a Garth Brooks song plays in a commercial, that does not count
- As soon as the Garth Brooks songs starts, call 604-280-9370.
- Once the song starts to play, the station host will select a caller who will get the chance to get on the ‘standy-by’ list.
- If the telephone connection between the station and a caller is not clear, such that the announcer and/or caller cannot hear each other or the caller is disconnected, that caller may, in the sole discretion of the station host be disqualified and a new random caller will be selected.
- If you qualify for this prize you are eligible to play other contests on JR country.
- If you are the winner, you may not win again on JR Country for 30 days.
- The prize includes 1 x pair of tickets to Garth Brooks at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on June 24th and 1 x $1000 cheque to use for your flights and hotel. JR Country is not responsible for booking your hotel or flights. We will award the winner 1 x $1000 cheque. Winner is responsible for depositing the cheque and booking accommodation and flights. At the time of contest announce, $1000 will cover two return flights from Vancouver to Edmonton and a 1-night stay at a hotel in Edmonton.
