Contest Rules
- The “JR’s Secret Sound” contest (hereinafter: the “Contest”) will start on Tuesday, February 20th at 8:00am PT and run until a date to be determined.
- This Contest is only open to legal residents of British Columbia, Canada, and who have reached the age of majority. A contestant under nineteen (19) years of age or older must have a parent or guardian who is at least nineteen (19) years of age or older to claim any prize.
- The contest entry period is on weekdays Monday to Friday (excluding Statutory Holidays in British Columbia) at 8:00am PT, 2:00pm PT and 4:00pm PT or any additional times at the station’s discretion.
- For the chance to play the Contest, listeners must listen for the Cue To Text, then text the words “Secret Sound” to 604-280-9370. Standard Message rates apply.
- At each entry period, a qualifying texter will be picked at random to be a contestant and called at the number they texted the station with. Contestants have the chance to guess JR’s Secret Sound. Each contestant will only be given one chance to guess, and their first guess is the only one that counts. If they can guess the correct sound on their first guess, they will win the current cash jackpot as set out by the station.
- If a selected Contestant does not answer their phone, the phone goes to voice mail or of the telephone connection between the station and a caller is not clear, such that the announcer and/or caller cannot hear each other or the caller is disconnected, that caller may, in the sole discretion of the station host be disqualified and a new random texter will be selected.
- It is at the station’s sole discretion to determine the accuracy of the guess.
- Contestants are only permitted one (1) guess on-air during each contest occasion. The first guess on-air during the contest occasion is the only one that counts.
- The cash jackpot will start at random amounts and will increase by $100.00 each time JR’s Secret Sound is not correctly identified. Jackpots may also be increased at random throughout the contest.
- Once a Secret Sound has been correctly identified, a new Secret Sound will be given, and the contest will repeat until the final Secret Sound has been guessed. The final secret sound may or may not be announced as the final secret sound.
- Winners will only be awarded their cash prize once eligibility is confirmed, and they have signed off on a prize release. Cash prizes will be awarded in the form of a cheque and cheques must be claimed in person at the 93.7 JR Country Office.
- Repeat contestants are allowed only if they have not won JR’s Secret Sound before.
- In addition to these Contest rules, Pattison Media’s general Contest Rules also apply.
- All decisions of the Contest Organizers or those of their representatives regarding this Contest are final and binding.
